Joyful Bodies Massage is owned and operated by a registered nurse and massage therapist, Joy Lugue. Joy is a DMV-native who’s been a registered nurse since 2008, and a licensed massage therapist for over a decade. Joyful Bodies Massage has been in business since April 2012. As a registered nurse and massage therapist, she specializes in the anatomy of the body. Joy treats the body as a whole, which may need a combination of modalities for healing. Her work as a massage therapist centers around creating a tailor-made massage based on her client’s specific body needs. Joy’s also passionate about teaching clients, especially athletes, how to take care of their bodies for career longevity.
